![]() ![]() ![]() WinCatalog didn’t rotate embedded thumbnails according to the Orientation tag during the scanning process (if the option to prefer embedded thumbnails was turned on). As a result, some entries didn’t show up. In order to search faster, WinCatalog cached parts of search queries but didn’t update them in the right way in a multi-processor environment. Searching for values stored in user-defined fields occasionally didn’t find entries. To fix that, we switched the external search index to UTF8 and now it works with any language and any system locale. The new diacritic insensitive search was unexpectedly returning too many results when searching for words containing characters from alphabets, like Hebrew with non-Hebrew Windows locale (cp1255), or Japanese with non-Japanese locale (cp932/cp20932), or Greek with non-Greek locale (cp1253). This is a maintenance update fixing several issues. Hello, we’re glad to announce that a new update of WinCatalog 2024.2.5 has just been released. ![]()
